The Educational Foundation of America (EFA) is a family foundation carrying on the philanthropic legacy of our founders through grant making and impact investing. We support organizations working for the arts, the environment, democracy, food security, and reproductive health and justice. The greatest need for these initiatives is concentrated in the Appalachian region of the United States, as well as the South and the Pacific Northwest. Our efforts are currently focused in these geographical areas.
We’re proud to function as a resource for advocacy, policy work, and funding for our grantees as they endeavor to overcome the challenges they face in their local communities. We’re prouder still to showcase their tremendous work throughout this site.
