Thank you for your interest in applying to The Educational Foundation of America (EFA). EFA does not accept unsolicited proposals.

However we do, from time to time, release requests for proposals (RFPs) which will be announced on this website.

In addition, we welcome the submission of new project or program ideas to advance the goals of our Reproductive Heath & Justice Committee and our Environment Committee. To submit an idea to one or both of these committees, please see below.


Submit an Idea to the Reproductive Health & Justice Committee

EFA's Reproductive Health and Justice Committee welcomes project and program ideas that will help increase access to abortion and contraception. Please click here to describe – in 250 words or less – your idea, project, or program. 

All submissions will be automatically confirmed, and a member of the EFA team will reach out to you if there is alignment with the work of the Reproductive Health and Justice Committee.  Note that in order to receive funding from EFA, your organization must be a 501(c)3 public charity, academic institution, or a government entity.


Submit an Idea to the Environment Committee

EFA’s Environment Committee welcomes project and program ideas that will help to accelerate the transition to a clean energy economy, accessible to all.  We are interested in innovative ideas that require collaboration, especially those that bridge climate and democracy.  Please click here to describe – in 250 words or less – your idea, project, or program.

All submissions will be automatically confirmed, and a member of the EFA team will reach out to you if there is alignment with the work of the Environment Committee.  Note that in order to receive funding from EFA, your organization must be a 501(c)3 public charity, academic institution, or a government entity.


Submit an Idea to the Democracy Team

EFA’s Make Democracy Work Initiative welcomes project and program ideas that will help to increase access to the ballot box in Florida and North Carolina. More specifically, in Florida we are interested in innovative ideas that would help restore voting rights for returning citizens. In North Carolina we are interested in innovative ideas that will help ensure a fair redistricting process and/or increase voter participation among members of the New American Majority. Note that EFA only funds c3 activities.
